    Children’s ‘Birding’ day!

    Wednesday 10th April, 9am-12.30pm

    Ages 6-12

Candling eggs, caring for freshly hatched chicks, whipping up fresh + gourmet bird food and discovering the amazing bird-life which Guardswell has in abundance.

Do your wee ones fancy themselves as the next Bill Oddie or Michaela Strachan? Come and join Team Guardswell for a day filled with avian fun and learning in the Easter Holidays.

We will spend the day appreciating all things avian, beginning with discovering the incredible process of chick development inside the egg, meeting freshly hatched Guardswell chickens, turning our hand to some homemade bird food recipes, which we’ll later feed to our native wild birds then settling down in our very own bird hides to see which feathered friends turns up!

You'll need to pack up a little bag of things for your sprogs that includes wellies and wet weather gear (waterproof jacket and trousers), plus a full spare change of clothes in case we get exceptionally muddy (heres hoping!!), if there are any specific snacks your children like (although we will have snacks for them too!) and any medication that they require whilst with us for the day.

Pick-up is just in time for you lunch- however, if you'd like to bring a picnic and go exploring with your kids after the morning session, please feel free.

We’ll pack the binos and pocket guides!
