Head of Gardens
Full Time
We are looking for a brilliant, imaginative and hard working Gardener/ Groundskeeper to join our energetic and enthusiastic team. The role will be responsible for all of the managed outdoor spaces on the farm enjoyed by our guests- from the gardens of the houses, to the Steading lawns and borders, the Kailyard garden and glasshouse, strimming of paths, maintaining gravelled paths and areas, and generally keeping the place looking b-e-a-utiful!

Steading, Hut + House-Keeper
24hrs+ per week
We are looking for a housekeeper who can help us keep the Huts, Houses and Steading shipshape, and LOVES keeping places looking awesome. Someone who has a mad desire to organise, to put things back into their “place” and spots the most minuscule little smudges on skirting boards. The team who look after our Huts + Houses at Guardswell are essential, awesome cog that keeps the whole machine turning.

Part Time Grower
16hrs per week
We are looking for someone to help Anna with getting the market garden back on its feet (she had a baby in 2025, so it took a wee pause), and the operation of Guardswell Grows for 2026. What does this mean in reality? Well, as with many market garden jobs, its a lot of physical work- so everything from bed creation, sowing, planting out, compost care, lots of weeding, mulching to harvest and farmstand filling when that time comes around. Our aim for 2026 is to grow enough food to provide nutritious veggies to our guests staying on the farm and to our directly local community via our Farmstand (sold alongside our eggs and meat).

Guardswellie

Full Time
A combination of the two above roles- if you are someone who enjoys a little variety in your week, and is looking for a full time role as opposed to part time. Both roles are very physical and both very rewarding, and the two of them together might be the perfect role for someone out there.

Freelance Housekeeper
Are you local, a total housekeeping whizz and keen for a few hours here or there? We sometimes need a few extra pairs of hands on super busy days- whether thats before or after an event, or an extra tight full farm change over.
